Justin's Maker Space
ABOUT
Hello. My name is Justin. I work in IT for an aerospace accreditation company whose focus is on safety, supply chain resiliency, and quality. I am a support specialist whose tasks are to react to, investigate, and resolve issues. I am at my best when I am presented with difficult issues that require unique solutions. I specialize in utilizing simple, low-cost (time, money, and effort) actions and strategies to overcome road bumps that would otherwise cause larger issues.

In my personal life, I am a gamer, science fiction enthusiast, and mass consumer of movies and TV shows. I also like kayaking and fishing, and try to get out to a lake or some other relatively close body of water. I also enjoy hockey (Let's Go Pens), football (Here We Go Steelers), and baseball (um, yeah, the Pirates).

I began 3D printing in February, 2022 after my brother-in-law told me about a deal that would let me get a 3D printer for $100. I printed out the coupon, headed to MicroCenter, and picked up my first 3D printer; a Creality Ender 3 Pro. It took a couple of weeks before I got around to building it (I also moved at the same time), but once I did, I haven't stopped. I have since added a Creality Ender 3 V2 and a Creality Laser Engraving. I have my eye on a Prusa i3 MK3S+ and their MMU2S upgrade kit that would allow me to print up to five separate filaments at once, while I have also back the AnkerMake M5 with multi-material add-on.
I recently added the Anycubic Photon Mono X MSLA resin printer to the mix. Resin may not be as strong as filament, but the detail I have been getting has been incredible. I look forward to doing a lot with resin.

My next steps are to being modeling and post-production and finishing of the prints.
